NOE’s

NOE’s (No other explanations) describe events that seem to defy the norm, or ones that are in combination with other hard-to-believe factors that have crazy synchronicity. Yesterday, I discovered a cut gardenia flower amazingly still white and fragant after five days.. which never happens. My reading lamp had the lightbulb appear to burn out, but came back to life this morning. And, in the middle of the night (3:44 am to be exact) my doorbell went off with no reason. I checked the outside cameras which showed no people or bugs near the bell. Today, I realized my red roses given to me exactly two weeks ago are still alive, and they really shouldn’t be. Let me explain…

Two of my friends who came to my You Don’t Know Jack! first public book signing on December the 16th, brought me a bouguet of flowers. In that bouquet were two large red roses standing out against the other white flowers and greenery. It was beautiful. To me it was a symbol of my late husband and me still loving each other from two different dimensions which is what my book describes, and why I was there that day to share. I had no vase to put them in and felt a little sad that after the afternoon would go by, they couldn’t last long having had no water for hours. Fast forward to today, December the 30th, here they are, still with me.

I googled “cut red roses” and found they only last a couple of hours without water before they wilt.( I used to get roses from the florist that would start to hang and drop leaves in 2 to 4 days.) Under good circumstances, cut roses can last up to a week, or maybe a little more under the best circumstances with daily care. But considering they went without water a half a day and had no daily care (because I was away), and yet are still red and standing tall after two full weeks…now that is hard to explain. I feel grateful for whatever or however I’ve been given sweet-smelling flowers for Christmas, The best scenario is that these NOE’s could be signs from my late husband’s spirit, Funny how we can be comforted by a combination of a strange lightbulb, a winter gardenia blossom, an early morning doorbell, and two really long-lasting red roses. For however this happened, I am grateful.

    1. They really are! Fun to be the detective at first, and then to relax, open up trust, and enjoy.
