When You Know It’s Right

You know how there are times you really work at something, like coming up with the right gift for a friend, shopping for the right outfit for a wedding, or even dating until you meet Mr./Mrs. Right… and nothing is your perfect fit? And so you keep at it, and at it, until you finally nail it! You found the one. Then you know…at that instant… it feels so right. It’s a feeling you can’t describe, but it’s as real as the sky above. It’s as if the right one was sent and you only needed to be aware or ready to receive it. That’s what’s been happening to me more regularly, now, and it happens faster when I stop pushing so hard. I have felt blessed with so much that has been right and good arriving just when I ease up, surrendering to the process, and trust I will be okay.

I have aha moments that wake me up in the middle of the night with a thought that answers a current question I’d be carrying around. That’s how I “received” the title of my book. It interrupted my sleep and was a strong statement almost barked into my mind and in my late husband’s tone, “You Don’t Know Jack.” I loved it immediately, jumped up at 5:42 in the morning to go write it down, and I’ve decided to use it. His name was Jack, and the book is about him and his sense of humor from the other side. I felt like he gave me a gift.

I’ve also had phone calls from people who will make great suggestions that resolve a problem I’m having. My cousin gave me some advice on an ear specialist, a friend told me about an excellent healing supplement, and another friend reminded me of a word I needed for my book’s subtitle which I had struggled to create. The best was when my friend called me to share her new discovery of a publisher that was the perfect match for my book’s message. It all felt so custom tailored, that I made the appointment, submitted the manuscript, got accepted, and we’re now off and running! We all felt it was so right. Another gift!

I just love when that happens, and I freely give credit and gratitude to all the loving energy that surrounds me.
