Today I was playing Canasta with a group of women and the subject of my book came up, You Don’t Know Jack! How Antics from My Late Husband’s Spirit Give Undeniable Evidence of Afterlife. I simply explained that my late husband had told me he would send me signs from the other side if he passed first, and he had done exactly that. He started with the thermostat as he had promised and has continued ever since. My book is a summary of the signs he sent me throughout the first year after his transitioning. I then shared the recent Bird sign (my last post) as a current example. After that it was time to play cards.
After the dealer handed us our new hands for the round, I made a quick comment about us all saying a prayer for jokers since they were worth the most points. (We all needed the highest value, 180 points, in order to start putting our cards down or melding, as it’s called.) Just then, as the person next to me was putting the cards in her new hand in order, one of her cards accidentally fell out of her hand and landed on the floor alongside me. It was a joker!
It wasn’t mine and I couldn’t play it, but we all had a good laugh as if Jack’s spirit was there as a joker himself. He always had such a clever sense of humor that it was as if he gave a little boost of spirit energy to that specific card to make us laugh and let us know he was around.
