My late husband’s birthday recently brought me some calls from loved ones who wanted to remember Jack with me that morning. As the day went on, it was bitter sweet. I was happy he was born, but I truly missed his physical presence and tried not to stay low with sadness. I quietly spoke to him throughout the day knowing he was around but would have loved a sign. I also assumed he did a spiritual nudge to several friends who just happened to call even though they didn’t know it was his birthday. They all said I just popped into their minds and they felt the need to connect. I must admit, connecting with people truly gives me joy, and sharing old memories of my late husband’s antics with them does, too.
At the end of the day as I walked into my bedroom, I suddenly heard something. It was the Roomba Robot vacuum sitting in it’s docking station in the corner across the room making a humming sound. The red light, that goes on when a cleaning job is done, was lit up. The thing is, though, the Roomba hadn’t been used in over a month, and the power in our house had not been interrupted. I don’t know any reason for it to be lit up, but I do know Jack likes to mess with appliances. His spiritual energy and his sense of humor was the best sign he could send me on his birthday!
