Who’s Calling

The other day, I had a couple visiting me and they were asking me about the book I wrote describing signs I’ve received from my late husband’s spirit. I was showing them the places the events took place in my house, and the phone rang. I completely ignored it as it rang and rang and we went on talking. I guess we have all become trained to not pick up knowing the likelihood of potential spam and telemarketers, and the assurance that they can leave a message. Besides, I’ve been receiving more scary calls from scammers now, too, so I’ve even more reluctant to answer my own phone.

Not long (minutes) after that first call, there was another one. We all commented on the fact that the amount of callers had really increased because it was a couple days before the election, and, this year, there was an unusually large number of calls from people doing polls or last-minute convincing. I figured if I knew them, they’d leave a message. Besides, I had company and wanted to give them all my attention. Within minutes, the phone rang again. This third time, I began to wonder if someone was really trying to get a hold of me, and excused myself saying, “Let me go check Caller ID on my phone to see who’s calling, just in case it’s important.”

I went over to see what was showing up in the caller ID window and it said, “Who’s Calling”. I burst into laughter, picked up the phone in the middle of the ring and heard the dial tone. No message, and no explanation except one…he did it again! I never need to convince anyone that my late husband communicates with me. He does it for me!
