First thing this morning, I went to JoAnn’s to pick up two cans of spray paint for a craft project. No one was there except me and the employess so it was fun being the only shopper. I happen to have my 40% off one item coupon and got up to the register to pay. The woman told me I could also use the store app to get another coupon for the second can as she proceeded to ring them up and swipe my coupon. I started to go into my App on my phone when she said, “Whoa, I don’t know how this just happened! It never happens!” I asked her what was going on, and she told me both cans rangup with the discount before I could get the App open. Then she said, “It actually can’t happen because the store has a coded system that only allows one item to be discounted with the paper coupon.”
I told her it must be my late husband’s sense of humor in spirit…he does that. And he’s not stealing because I would have received the discount had I used the additional method. I laughed and said he passed a couple years ago, and he has been reaching out a lot ever since. I explained that I was so open to his connections that I journaled for a full year after he passed, and then I even wrote a book about all of his signs the following year. (You Don’t Know Jack! How Antics from My Late Husband’s Spirit Give Undeniable Evidence of Afterlife.)
The woman at the register looked floored. I pulled my book out of my purse to show her, and she wanted to know more. I shared a little and she wanted more. She said I was so lucky to have him watching out for me. She also told me that she now wanted to look for signs from her mom who just recently passed.
I really do consider myself lucky that Jack and I talked about what he’d do if he passed before me. The fact that he then did those things made me a believer. And now I feel so good knowing Jack’s message that our consciousness doesn’t die is finding its way to those who need it the most. What a great mssage -that Love is forever. I’ve noticed (for me) he mostly uses signs that either have no other explanation (NOE’s) or those that arrive at meaningful times. When I left the store, I got into the car and the radio came on with “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman” by Bryan Adams, followed by tears of appreciation.
