From what I remember from my first book (Behind the Counselor’s Door), the publishing process takes weeks at each stage…various editing passes, beta readers, formatting, and getting it from printer to websites for ordering online. Patience is the key as many months go by. However, with this book, You Don’t Know Jack!, somehow, Jack spiritually zipped us through every single step bringing “our” book to presale in record time! Even the last step was to take weeks, and it happened overnight! As Lucie Dickenson from StarLight Books Publishing texted me this morning, “You can’t make this up!” The book appeared ready for preorder now on Amazon and Barnes & Noble this morning instead of the projected November fourteenth date. From my first conversation with Lucie on May twelfth, this year, as I described “our” amazing story of Jack’s communications with me from the other side, to today, October fourth, and it’s up for ordering! Unbelievable. In fact, starting with his early morning sleep interruption on February fourth, when he said, “Just Write the Damn book!”, to today’s preorder availability, is only eight months from start of writing to finished publishing. Jack (and I) have always lacked patience…no surprise as we’re both Aires and it’s a telling quality we shared – but this is mind-blowing because it was teamwork from the other side!
Now the reason I believe Jack was behind making these publishing steps so fast and seemless, was because it’s typically so unusual at each every juncture, no less every single one of them! That just never happens. Plus, this morning, as I went out to get the mail, there, under my mailbox, was his signature white feather. (And I’ve written about how he’s made them surprisingly significant.) Just one, no others around, under my mailbox, and standing up at attention like a dart… so him. I truly felt his presence and knew he was celebrating with me. Every sign and all his help make me feel loved and enormously grateful, and I thank him every single time with my whole heart!
